How We Handle Your Information
Effective date — 12 July 2026
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. With your permission, we store a small set of preferences on your device — such as reading, voice, and language settings, and where you left off — together with a record of your consent choices. When you contact us, we receive the details you provide. Like most websites, we may also receive basic technical information your browser shares automatically, such as browser type and general location.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to send you our newsletter and editorial work, to remember your preferences so the experience feels considered, to understand in aggregate how our work is read, and to respond when you reach out. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for others’ advertising.
3. Service Providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the site. Newsletter email addresses are processed and stored by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), which also handles our email delivery and email-engagement measurement. Our website and application are hosted on Emergent, which processes production visitor data as our hosting provider. These providers handle information under their own privacy terms and our applicable agreements. We do not authorise them to use personal information for third-party advertising.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use minimal local storage on your device to remember your preferences and consent — and only after you agree. We keep tracking to a respectful minimum and do not use invasive third-party advertising cookies. You can clear this storage at any time through your browser or via Privacy Preferences.
5. Email Engagement Tracking
Our email platform, Kit, may record standard engagement signals, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, to help us understand which writing is useful to our readers. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email. Unsubscribing stops future marketing emails and their associated engagement tracking, although limited records may be retained to honour your opt-out and comply with legal obligations.
6. Do Not Track and Cross-Site Tracking
We do not use cross-site behavioural advertising and do not knowingly permit third parties to track visitors across unrelated websites through this site. Because we do not engage in that practice, browser Do Not Track signals do not change the site’s operation. If our practices change, this policy will be updated.
7. Data Retention
We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask to be removed, we delete or anonymise your information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to meet a legal obligation.
8. Your Choices & Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, and to receive information about how it is used. You may also unsubscribe from email communications at any time. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. To make a request, contact hello@thethrivinglife101.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the site, our services, or our privacy practices evolve. We will update the effective date above and, where required, provide additional notice or request consent before materially changing how personal information is used.
10. Contact
For any privacy question or request, please write to us at hello@thethrivinglife101.com. We treat every message with attention and care.
